Signed and dated in year of publication by De Haas who was the secretary of the First Zionist Congress in London and introduced Theodor Herzl to the UK in the Jewish World newspaper.  After moving to the United States, De Haas assumed the leadership of the American Zionist movement. This book came out of his friendship with Louis Brandeis, leading to Brandeis becoming an ardent, committed Zionist in 1908.
A very good copy, small snag to top spine and spot to rear board.
