London: The Nonesuch Press. Centenary Edition. This copy is dated 1934 on title page with no mention of printing on the obverse and is accompanied by a plain, undecorated dust wrapper priced at 8 shillings and 6 pence; other copies we've seen for sale as first editions have no date on title page but have a first printing reference on the obverse with a decorated dust wrapper priced at 15 shillings. Priority unknown, but the lower price on this copy suggests that this is a true first edition.
Decorated endpapers, buckram binding. Front and rear covers with a two-inch band of toning, othewise nearly fine in like about fine dust wrapper with tiny tear and very slight chip to bottom of spine.
