Pittsburg, PA: Imagine, Inc., 1985.  First printing.  Preface by George A. Romero, Director and cowriter of the film.

Signed and inscribed by Romero adding the words "stay scared".  Also signed and inscribed by actors Marilyn Eastman and Karl Hartman (who portrayed Helen and Harry Cooper respectively in the film -- Hardman was also the producer), and signed by makeup artist Tom Savini and Adam West (of Batman fame) who appeared at the Zombie Jamboree, the 25th Anniversary of Night of the Living Dead convention that took place in 1993.

NOTLD was not a commercial success at the time of its release, but it was eventually recognized as a horror masterpiece, and it served as the foundation for a unique mythos, setting several of the 'rules' and tropes that would drive the sub-genre for the next 50 years. The Romero zombie was unrelated to the Vodou zombie that had influenced most zombie lore until that point. Instead, it was a shambling corpse that fed upon the living, and it became a mainstay in film and fiction.

A very good copy in pictorial wrappers, lightly creased along front spine edge, some rubbing along back spine edge and light crease to rear.
